On December 28, 2011, it was announced he was voted to the 2012 Pro Bowl as an alternate. Hernandez was perceived as a snub for the Pro Bowl by many analysts who argued he was more deserving than San Diego Chargers' tight end Antonio Gates. He finished the season with a career-high 79 receptions for 910 receiving yards and seven touchdown receptions in 14 games and 12 starts. Hernandez ranked 15th among all players in receptions in 2011 and fifth among tight ends.
Lloyd is survived by at least one sister, Olivia Thibou. A prosecutor, speaking at a bail hearing for Wallace, acknowledges that Ortiz has changed a key detail in the story he has told investigations. Initially, Ortiz had told investigators that Hernandez, Wallace and Lloyd all got out of the Nissan, that he heard gunshots, and that only Hernandez and Wallace got back in the vehicle. More recently, Ortiz has said that he no longer believes that Wallace got out of the car at the murder scene. Investigators search a 10-foot by 10-foot storage unit in Bristol, Conn. The unit had been rented by Shayanna Jenkins, but it was paid for with Hernandez’s credit card.

I have watched Toon In With Me since Looney Tunes had aired. So I decided to make an image inspired by the 1950s Cartoon Carnival shown in theaters long before this show was released. My brother and I wake up with Toon In With Me every morning.

As for Hernandez, he would only serve two years of his sentence before he took his own life on April 19, 2017, by hanging himself using his bedsheets in his cell. Experts examining his brain post-mortem found a shocking amount of brain damage in the former football star. Though Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace were both charged with first-degree murder, Wallace was acquitted of the murder charge but found guilty of being an accessory after the fact.

May 12, 2016 — Ernest Wallace, a friend of Aaron Hernandez, is acquitted of murderin the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd. But Wallace is found guilty of being an accessory after the murder. Aug. 27, 2015 — Alexander Bradley, a friend and former assistant of Aaron Hernandez, has received immunity from prosecutors in connection with a double murder case against the former Patriots tight end.
He told his mother that, "I've been the most relaxed and less stressed in jail than I have out of jail." He was, however, punished on multiple occasions for breaking prison rules, including screaming and banging on his cell door. Over the course of his four years behind bars, he increasingly turned to the Bible and became more religious. As of May 9, 2017, the date of the judge's ruling to vacate, the Bristol County district attorneys stated they planned to appeal the ruling, to the Massachusetts Supreme Court if necessary. The Lloyd family was disappointed with the ruling, but their attorney did not believe it would affect the wrongful death civil suit which the family had filed.
He received a four-and-a-half to seven-year sentence. Hernandez had just signed a $40 million extension on his contract with the New England Patriots, a contract that was terminated within hours of his being charged. All corporate sponsorship deals he had were also terminated. When video evidence emerged showing him returning home on the morning of the murder with a gun in his hand, his fate was sealed.

Head coach Bill Belichick named Hernandez the third tight end on the Patriots depth chart, behind Crumpler and Gronkowski.
